Child Predator Program

Child Sexual Predator Program (CSPP)

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office recently received over $400,000 in Child Sexual Predator Program (CSPP) grant funding from the Justice Department's Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Office. The Sheriff's Office was awarded this grant funding to combat the sexual abuse of children. This funding will assist in the fight against the very real problem of child sexual abuse and exploitation.

The CSPP Unit is comprised of two full-time Sheriff's Sheriff Detectives. Their job duties include investigations of sex offenders who are out of compliance with PC290 sex registration laws. They will also target suspects who are actively possessing and sharing images of child pornography. The Detectives are also responsible for coordinating training for our affiliate agencies which span over nine counties located in Central California. CSPP detectives work in conjunction with the United States Marshall’s Office, State Parole, County Probation, Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and other allied agencies.
