Detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office and Fresno Police Department worked together to identify and arrest 39 year old Fabian Rodriguez of Fresno on July 6th. He is currently being held in the Fresno County Jail.

Rodriguez was wanted for the July 2nd armed robbery that took place at the Star Mini Mart, located at 4595 E. Clinton Ave. in Fresno. Rodriguez was also wanted for two other robberies that occurred in the city of Fresno.

Around 12:00 pm on Monday, July 2nd, a robbery took place at the Star Mini Mart, located at 4595 E. Clinton Ave. in Fresno.

A man walked inside carrying a plastic bag.  He went to the counter and asked for a pack of cigarettes.  While the cashier was ringing him up, the man pointed the plastic bag at the cashier as though there was a gun inside and demanded money.  The employee opened the registered and placed some cash on the counter for the suspect to take.  The man grabbed the money and walked out of the store.  The employee, who was not hurt, called the Sheriff’s Office to make a report.

Deputies responded and collected surveillance video showing multiple angles inside and outside the store.  The suspect is described as being white or Hispanic, in his 20s or 30s and is clean shaven.  He is wearing a Paul Frank Julius Monkey hat and is seen driving away in a dark colored, four door hatchback car.  It is possibly a Chevrolet Sonic.
