Around 10:00 pm on January 17th, two young men robbed the Subway restaurant located at 5751 S. Elm Ave. in Easton.

As soon as they entered, they jumped over the counter.  One suspect stood by the cash register, while the other suspect went to the back room to look for the employee.  The suspect found the worker and threatened to shoot him while ordering him to open the register.  The employee opened the register and allowed one of the suspects to take the cash.  During this time, the other suspect returned to the back room and took a stack of mail from a desk.  Both suspects fled out the front door and the employee called the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office to make a report.

Both suspects wore hooded sweatshirts.  They appear to be teenagers.  The smaller suspect is Hispanic and the larger suspect is African American or Hispanic.  Neither of them were seen with a weapon and the employee was not injured.

Anyone who can identify the suspects in this case is asked to contact Detective Patrick Beggs at (559) 600-8390, Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or www.valleycrimestoppers.org  You will remain anonymous and receive a cash reward.
