Shortly after 9:30 am Wednesday, Fresno County Sheriff's deputies responded to an armed bank robbery at 5751 S. Elm Ave. in Easton.

A man walked into the Westamerica Bank branch wearing a long-sleeve button up shirt, khaki pants, a beige hat, dark dress shoes, black-framed glasses and was holding a handgun.  The man threatened the teller, demanding he hand over all of the bank’s cash.  The employee complied, giving him money.  The robber then walked out of the bank.  The entire incident lasted just under a minute and a half.

Detectives have gathered surveillance video of the suspect taken inside the bank and worked to get other possible video captured by cameras at surrounding businesses.

The suspect is described as:  Hispanic, in his 30s or 40s, 5’6” with a stocky build.

Three employees and no customers were inside during the robbery.  Nobody was injured.
