The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 25 year old Joshua Servis of Fresno.  He is wanted for a parole violation, assault with a deadly weapon and evading police.

Just after 9:30 pm on March 5th, deputies spotted Joshua Servis in a vehicle as it was pulling into a gas station at the corner of Olive and Marks Avenues in Fresno.  As deputies attempted to stop him, Servis intentionally swerved his car into a patrol vehicle, causing minor damage.  Servis headed east on Olive Ave. to try and get away.  Assisting deputies pursued him, during which time Servis hit his brakes hard several times on purpose in order to make a deputy rear end him.  Once Servis slowed down near the intersection of Floradora and Pleasant Avenues, a deputy used a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver on Servis’ car.  The suspect’s car hit a tree and became disabled.  Servis ran away and the woman in the passenger seat stayed in the car.  Deputies detained her for questioning and later released her.  Meanwhile, deputies setup a perimeter in the area with the assistance of the Fresno Police’s helicopter, Air 1.  A search took place for more than an hour and deputies were unable to find Servis.  No one was injured during this incident.

Joshua Servis is white, 5’8”, with a stocky build, blue eyes and a bald head.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joshua Servis is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111, Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or www.valleycrimestoppers.org  You will remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward.
