The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office today announced the arrest of two Sanger men wanted in connection with the 2007 murder of 21 year old David Vera. Arrested were 29 year old Victor Rodriguez-Mendoza, and 28 year old Victor Estrada. A third Sanger man, 28 year old Felix Rios, is still being sought.
On July 1st of 2007, deputies responded to a shooting call in the area of Annadale & Reed near the town of Minkler.
Upon their arrival, deputies discovered three people with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, Vera, was deceased at the scene. The two others were transported to area hospitals where they were treated for non-life threatening wounds and released.
Deputies soon learned a large party had taken place in a nearby orchard with over 100 people in attendance. During the party, a large disturbance erupted during which time several gunshots were fired. The suspects had fled prior to deputies arriving.
