Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with an assault last week. Wanted is 35 year old John David Bairos.
Last Monday, May 26th, Bairos was involved in a disturbance at a residence located in the 1300 block of S Henderson Ave in the town of Caruthers. During the disturbance, Bairos used a semi-automatic handgun to strike the victim in the head.
Two days later, detectives attempted to arrest Bairos at his Caruthers residence. Bairos was not home at the time, but detectives located over 400 illegal marijuana plants and a large amount of methamphetamine at his home.
The following day, Bairos called the assault victim and threatened to kill him and his family.
Bairos is now wanted on several charges including assault with a deadly weapon, terrorist threats, threatening a witness, marijuana cultivation, and possession of marijuana and methamphetamine for sales.
Bairos is described as a white male, 6-4/280 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a gold colored GMC pick-up truck. The pick-up is lowered and there is unknown type writing on the back window.
Bairos should be considered armed & dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 600-3111, or CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP(7867).
