The Fresno County Sheriff's Office today announced the arrest of two women and one man on several felonies related to the discovery of hundreds of counterfeit credit cards, and fraudulent and real identification cards.
Arrested were 48-year-old Gina Lauree Garcia of Bell Gardens, 40-year-old Martha Siguenza of Baldwin Park, and 38-year-old Ronald Eduardo Pena of Rosemead.
Yesterday morning, shortly before 9 a.m., deputies patrolling western Fresno County pulled over a silver Nissan on Interstate 5 near Dorris Avenue for traffic violations. The vehicle was occupied by Pena, who was driving, as well as Garcia and Siguenza. A records check revealed Pena was on felony probation for grand theft.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered two separate bundles of credit cards and fake identification cards hidden in the passenger seats of the car.
In total, more than 300 forged items were discovered, bearing fake names used by the three subjects.
