Man Arrested In Connection With Several Stolen Ag Items

Jesus Prieto Vasques

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office today announced the arrest of a Reedley man in connection with several stolen items discovered at his residence. Arrested was 29 year old Jesus Prieto Vasques.

Yesterday afternoon, shortly after 2:30pm, deputies and Ag Task Force investigators responded to a theft call at a residence located near Pederson and Floral.

The victim of the theft advised that one of his four bin trailers had been stolen from the area of Pederson and South the previous day. Later that same day, the victim saw the stolen trailer parked beside Vasques' residence.

Deputies made contact with Vasques at his residence and, during the investigation, discovered another trailer, forklift, and a 500 gallon poly tank, all stolen from various farms in the area. The stolen vehicles and equipment was worth several thousand dollars.

Vasques was ultimately arrested on charges of vehicle theft and possession of stolen property, and later booked into the Fresno County Jail.

The stolen property was returned to the owners.
