Fresno County Sheriff's detectives are currently investigating an apparent murder at a residence located at 12760 N. Friant Rd.
Earlier this morning, shortly before 5 a.m., the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call regarding an assault which occurred at the residence. The caller reported the victim appeared to have been badly beaten.
Responding deputies and EMS personnel arrived on scene and discovered the deceased body of a 32-year-old who resided at the residence. The victim had sustained severe blunt force trauma to the head.
The investigation revealed a domestic related disturbance occurred a short time prior to the Sheriff's Office being called.
The suspect, 33-year-old Dustin Warren Baize, was still on scene when deputies arrived, and was arrested without incident.
Baize, a resident of Tollhouse, was later booked into the Fresno County Jail on a single charge of murder.
Narcotics detectives also responded to the scene to recover approximately fifteen pounds of processed marijuana discovered in the residence.
