The Fresno County Sheriff's Office today announced the arrest of a Fresno man in connection with the drowning of a relative's dog. Arrested was 63-year-old Timothy Joel Holloway.
Yesterday, shortly before 3:00pm, deputies responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of N Madsen Ave regarding an animal cruelty call that had occurred the day before.
The victim reported his uncle, Holloway, had killed his pit bull after it had apparently killed another relative's cat. The victim reported that Holloway had apparently hog tied the dogs legs and wrapped a rope around it. He then fastened a back pack full of rocks to the dog, and pushed the animal in to the pool.
The victim stated he is a firefighter and was out of town when the incident occurred. He was advised of the incident by friends who live at his residence, and relatives.
Deputies responded to Holloway's residence in Fresno where he was arrested on a felony charge of animal cruelty. He was later booked in to the Fresno County Jail.
