Detectives Seek Help In Identifying Suspect In Truck Theft And Vehicle Burglary

Fresno County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with the theft of an International flatbed truck, and the burglary of another vehicle.

On the night of March 29 or the early morning hours of March 30, a vehicle was broken into while parked at the Shaver Village Lodge located in Shaver Lake.

Video surveillance captured the suspects drive into the parking lot in a white-colored International flatbed truck and get out of the truck. One of the suspects is seen walking up to the victim's vehicle at the time of the break in. He is described as a white or Hispanic male in his mid-20s, 5'10" with a medium build, wearing a baseball cap and carrying a backpack.

The flatbed truck was later discovered parked in a parking lot in Prather. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys still in the ignition. The investigation revealed the truck had been stolen earlier that night from a So Cal Edison construction site in Big Creek.

A portion of the video is attached. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this investigation to please contact the Sheriff's Office at 600-3112, or CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP(7867).
