Two Arrested In Fig Garden Burglary

Silva/Alejandrez

Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims today announced the arrest of two Fresno men caught while burglarizing a Fig Garden home. Arrested were 19-year-old Steven Silva Corrales and 19-year-old Leo Moises Alejandrez.

The arrests came this past Monday morning after deputies responded to an audible burglar alarm call at a residence located in the 500 Block of East Pontiac Way.

After arriving on scene, deputies observed a side door of the residence to have been forced open. Moments later, movements were heard coming from inside the home. Deputies entered the residence and discovered Corrales attempting to pry open a rear door. At about the same time, Alejandrez exited one of the rear bedrooms. Both suspects were immediately taken into custody without incident.

During the investigation, it was learned Alejandrez was on felony probation for a prior burglary charge.

Corralez and Alejandrez, both self-admitted street gang members, were booked into the Fresno County Jail on burglary charges. Alejandrez was also charged with a probation violation.
