Updated 1/30/13: Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims is asking for the public's help in locating a convicted rapist. Wanted is 20-year-old Spencer Scarber of Squaw Valley.
Scarber is wanted in connection with a violent 2011 rape that occurred at a neighbor's residence. Shortly after the assault, Scarber was arrested by deputies on several charges including rape, robbery, and burglary. He subsequently bonded out of custody.
This past December, Scarber fled the area during his trial. The judge in the case continued the trial and Scarber was convicted in absencia.
Two felony warrants have been issued for Scarber's arrest with a total bail of $2 million. He should be considered dangerous.
