The Fresno County Sheriff's Office today announced the arrest of two Fresno men, one a parolee, on several charges pertaining to commercial burglaries in Fresno County. Arrested were 23 year old Ignacio Luis Bracamontes Jr, and 28 year old Jose Paez.

Early this morning, shortly before 2:00am, deputies made a vehicle stop on a gold colored Chevy Impala near the intersection of Peach & Escalon. Deputies contacted the occupants of the car who were later identified as Bracamontes and Paez, and immediately noticed both were wearing gloves and attempting to conceal a crowbar. A search of the vehicle also revealed rubber gloves, bolt cutters, and marijuana.

During the investigation, it was learned both Bracamontes and Paez were on active parole. A subsequent search of Paez' residence revealed two safes. Both had been stolen during two different sandwich shop burglaries in the City of Clovis, where the doors had been pried open, and the safes removed. Clovis PD detectives also responded to assist.

Deputies believe Bracamontes and Paez may be responsible for several commercial burglaries throughout Fresno, Sanger, and Clovis.

Bracamontes was arrested on charges of possession of burglary tools, and possession of marijuana. Paez was arrested on charges of possession of burglary tools, and parole violations. However, the investigation is continuing at this time, and more charges may follow.
