SolorioAn armed robbery suspect turned himself in to Sheriff's detectives earlier today after family members saw him on the surveillance video released yesterday to local media outlets.
Shortly before 10:00am, 23 year old Angel Lucio Hernandez turned himself into detectives at the Sheriff's Office's E. Shields Ave substation. He was accompanied by family members who had seen the surveillance video on the news and identified him as the suspect.

The robbery occurred on June 6th at the Tarib Market located at 3145 E Olney Ave in Malaga. The surveillance video, released to media this past Wednesday, showed Hernandez enter the store and rob the cashier at gunpoint.
Witnesses to the robbery observed Hernandez get into a white Ford Mustang last seen northbound on Fwy 99 from Central. Shortly afterwards, the mustang was stopped near Belmont & First. The driver, Miguel Angel Solorio, was arrested in connection with the robbery.
Sheriff Margaret Mims praised the witnesses and the local media saying, "The quick actions of the witnesses, and the media's willingness to get the surveillance video out to the public helped identify the suspect and get an apparent dangerous criminal off the streets."
Hernandez was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of armed robbery.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 488-3112, or CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP(7867).
